yes, God does forgive the sins, but we are still left to deal with the consequences of our decisions.
explanation? if a person lives a life of sexual promiscuity or drug use, and then turns around and gets saved, if he contracted aids from the sex, or ruined their body as a result of drugs, they are still left with their damaged bodies.
also (and this is a personal opinion) I think that the person who is promiscuous, leaves a little of their heart with each person they had sex with. meaning, it becomes very difficult to love one’s self and others, the more promiscuous one had been.

i dont think sex = marriage by any standards. but I do think that cheating on a spouse is considered adultery.. but God still forgives everything if you ask him to.

He will forgive you for this.
He always forgives our mistakes.
But only he knows.
That is why they get baptisted to get forgiven of them.
I think that Jesus and St Paul was right when they said no sex without marriage.

It would be adultery if they continued life unforgiven, but by coming to Christ after they had done these things, their slate is wiped clean. They are not in debt to the sins they had once commited in their lives. Their heart must change though, they must seek rightousness, it is not attainable by any man without God.

Because it’s exactly what Jesus taught us — that’s why someone would believe it!

Jesus said that if someone gets a divorce and then marries someone else, then that someone commits adultery.

That’s because we humans are not to separate what God has joined together.

In getting a divorce, we may think that we are ending the marriage — but in God’s eyes, the marriage is not ended at all. That’s why Jesus taught the way He did about marriage, divorce, and adultery.

We all sin every day, although perhaps not to the degree of adultery and/or fornication. If you read the account of the prodigal son, you will understand how God forgives and welcomes people who are truly repentant, which means that you would feel sincere regret over what you had done and make the necessary changes and then try never to do it again.

No, If people aren’t married , it is simply fornication. Sex does not equal marriage. Marriage is much more than just sex.

I believe that you are not under Gods law until you become a Christian. Once you become a Christian you are to abide by Gods law. So my answer would be no sex does not equal marriage.

Yes He will forgive,,if He didn’t then He would not be able to forgive all the other sins…One good thing is we are saved by Grace !!!! We were yet sinners and Jesus went to the cross for all of our sins…Grace is what gets you saved,,His name is Jesus…

Well lookin at one of the world’s most christian populated country, america…
According to statistics, 1 out of 3 americans have sex before marriage.
1 out of 5 have had sex with many partners…
1 out of 10 have affairs after marriage…
Besides it is the country with one of the world’s most number of divorces…

So whats the point in christianity?

To sum it up, there is a verse that states that any one who comes to know Christ becomes a "new creature" and "behold all things are become new". (AKA Clean slate!)

It doesn’t matter what you committed beforehand, Christ died for that sin and it is forgiven (which also means "forgotten"). You may have been the town harlot, but if you get saved, you’re equal to the straight-laced virgin sitting in the pew next to you in God’s eyes!

It is not adultery if such a person marries another after becoming saved. Adultery can only be committed if you are married to that person while having sex with another. However, once you become saved, you better act like it because fornicating as a saved person is more detrimental to your testimony than it was BEFORE salvation!)

I had a boss who believed that once you had sex with someone, you were physically and spiritually linked forever with that person (almost like marriage), but I find that no where in the Bible.

I don’t know what denomination teaches this… he was a Hispanic and a Baptist of some sort, but I am an independent fundamental Baptist and this is not something our church teaches or believes. (Maybe this is a Catholic teaching he remembers from his childhood?)

It would depend on the situation and whither or not their conversion was sincere.
That’s why it is such a blessing that we can not read hearts and discerned someones motivates, otherwise we would have the responsibly to say that person was Worthy of forgiveness or not.
So take a deep breath and sigh of relief. Jesus has this responsibility to judge, not us.
