  I’m sorry, I don’t have the references on me at the moment, but the wife is the head of the household, and the man is the head of the family. I don’t believe it’s right for either one to lord their position over the other, however. I believe it is to be a partnership.

  Beyond basic biology, I don’t see any prescribed "roles" for men and women to perform in relationships. If two partners behave differently, it should be based on their individual strengths and preferences, not on some "role" prescribed by their gender (or race, or eye color, or any other such thing).

  There is plenty of scripture to say a great variety of things on the roles of men and women (mostly by Paul, indicating that women are to be subservient to men). As a Christian who does not take one particular book to be infallible, I do not see how the opinion of a 1st century misogynist should impact the modern civil rights movement, though.

  Men are supposed to "wear the pants" in the relationship. the man’s responsibilities are way bigger than the womens. women are to be submissive (not passive) and men are called to love their wives enough to be willing to die for them.
  And I like cooking and cleaning so i like ot think that thats the womans roll and men are supposed to bring "home the bacon", b/c my hubby likes it like that too He’s awesome, God gave me an amazing relationship!

  There are also verses about men being the spiritual leader in the home and teaching their wives and childern about the lord

  My husband’s role is to be the spiritual leader and primary provider. He is to protect his family. He is to love and cherish me as Christ loved and cherished the church. He is to be the rock on which our family leans, as Christ is the rock on which the church leans. As goes the husband, so goes the family.

  It is my role to respect my husband’s authority and submit to him as the final decision maker. We are equal heirs in Christ, but his is the final authority. I am to be his helper in raising our children, keeping our home, and taking care of what his work has provided to us. The woman of Proverbs 31 is an excellent example to follow.

  Ephesians and 1 Peter provide excellent foundations for this.

  I can tell you that since my dh and I decided to base our marriage relationship on what the bible teaches, our home has been peaceful and our lives have been content. My marriage and children are flourishing. Thank God for His wisdom!

  You shouldn’t hang out in Christian teen chat rooms stalking young girls. You shouldn’t extort teenage girls who realize you’re a nutcase. You shouldn’t have creeped out the female customers in the store. Get it?
