Satan is the author of guilt.
You should talk to God, RIGHT AWAY about your guilt.
Satan brings, sin, shame, guilt —everything NEGATIVE —
IS satan.
Everything thing that is good and pure and true–is God.

No problem with guilt dear. You sin then repent, confess and sin again. That’s the process. Forget about guilt, as long as you tithe it’s fine.

It can get in the way, but I know that when I feel guilty then I need to confess to the Lord what it is that I feel guilty about.
Heavenly Father doesn’t want us to be miserable and feel guilty, and he doesn’t want us in that state either, but clean and pure. I have found that when I feel guilty, it’s a reminder to me that I need to repent and right the wrong. It brings me closer to God, because when I "think," I’m doing right, I do forget about Him. But, when I do wrong, and I think about why…then I’m reminded that it’s against what I’ve been taught and I need to seek the Lord and the person I offended to forgive me for my errors.

When Peter Denied Christ he felt tremendous guilt. When Jesus appeared to the disciples he told them to go and tell peter and to get him. Guilt is always something the devil will try to bring upon us.

In the Catholic Church we have seven Sacraments. Reconciliation is one of them. Once I go to Confession and confess my guilt, the priest as the representative of God Himself forgives me and I am washed clean. Then I am no longer guilty.

Yes, but that is Satan’s doing. He wants us to feel guilty all of the time, but in truth, we shouldn’t. We have already been forgiven of all of our sins and we should never feel guilty again! If we confess our sin, God is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from ALL unrighteousness.

Yes. But get it cleared through Confession (the Sacrament of Reconciliation). That’s one thing good about being a Catholic.

That’s what confession and absolution are for, and why Christ left them to us in His Church, for the purification of our souls as we try to walk through this life with Him. All sin and fall short of the glory of God. God knows our human nature and He knows our hearts–how hard we try to overcome sin. Remember that He came and died for our sins because He knows we cannot of our own accord overcome our sins. The Church offers us the mysteries of Confession and Absolution, and all the guilt in the world is lifted by them. Why do you think Christ left them to us as spiritual aids in life. Take heart, and go confess and be absolved. In order to do that you have to be in a Church that has that practice. Why not try the original form of Christianity as left us by Christ Himself: Eastern Orthodox Christianity. You’ll find the peace of God there.

Guilt is of the MIND, and the MIND is ones foremost detractor regarding ones Spirituality. When one is focused on guilt, one is in denial of God… because ones MIND realm is a totally different vibrational realm of reality than that of ones Spiritual realm. The Whole Human Being is composed of three simultaneously existing and yet separate realms of energies and these are, from inside out: Ones Spiritual realm; Ones MIND realm; And ones physical realm including ones brain, body, and physical senses.
Ones attention can only be in one realm at a time. If it is focused on blame, which is in the MIND realm, then it cannot be in the Spiritual realm, in which God dwells.

It has, but I have to remember that Jesus didnt come here to condemn, He came to save and have us be forgiven by God! When it happened to me, I knew it was the Devil accusing me of my past flaws, but God forgave, and I need to focus on that instead of my life’s rear view mirror! I have peace when I turn to God!

Guilt is a tool of the devil. He uses guilt to keep us as defeated Christrians. We should feel a little twinge of guilt when we sin. But, when we come to Jesus for forgiveness and He forgives us, we are to accept that forgiveness and move on. But, the devil would try to get us to believe that we sinned a sin that God will not forgive. This is,of course, not true. But, sometimes, we cannot forgive ourselves and we tend to carry that around with us, wondering why Jesus hasn’t forgiven us when He has and we won’t let go of the guilt.
This is how guilt gets in the way of our worshipping God.

We are all in the "Flesh" ! Guilt is assurance that you are in the flesh , and as a Christian you must continue to depend on the Lord to shape and mold you according to His Will through Prayer, Faithfulness , and Dedication to His Word ! We will all fall short of the Glory of God in this life , it is our responsibility to live being as close to Christlike as "humanly" possible !!

Do you remember the woman at well, how when Jesus forgave her. she let her pots there with Jesus to go tell others what Jesus had done for her.,That’s what you have to do with quilt,ask for forgiveness,of anything that stand between you
and God, and leave it there with him. He will take care of it for you. the devil uses everything he can to keep you from your relationship with God. So, just turn it over to him and he will see you through. God Bless you, and keep the faith.

Well, Christians do suffer from guilt but they should try not to make so great a deal about failures. I suppose guilt could be caused from not having a purged conscience. I think that not walking in the light of the word could cause this kind of problem.
Were you ever broken down with burdens due to your sins and you just couldn’t stand it any more and had to tell it to Jesus? He takes away those burdens when we confess those sins, this to is grace. If we confess our sins he is faithful and just to CLEANSE us from all sin. This restores our fellowship with the Lord and he cleanses us from it.
The bible says that if our hearts condemn us that God is greater than our hearts! Satan is the accuser of the brethren also so by this we know that guilt is a tool of the devil.
The apostle Paul said that he didn’t even judge himself but he left the judgment in the Lords hands. We have got to let go of holding things against ourselves. Jesus paid for those sins and so we don’t have to promise to do good to God and apologize to every one and all the things that we feel we need to do to atone for them. No wonder why the guilt, we don’t need to pay for our own sins, Christ did that.
When we are told to forget the things behind and press on toward the upward calling it means to forget the great things as well as our sins. Putting it all behind us for we don’t want to glory or wallow in the things of the past even if it was five minutes ago.
Glory in our weaknesses because when we are weak the Lord makes us strong. He does not despise a crushed and broken spirit and yes that means crushed and broken down with sin.
Our sins were judged in Christ body, so we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.

it used to…..i was carrying around sin, thinking that if i confessed to god, it was really enough and he would forgive me. yet i was stuck in the rut that reminded me "if you tell anyone, your life is ruined." guilt. big time guilt. i began to see "church people" as self-righteous people who i couldn’t share my heart with, and i began to drift, thinking i couldn’t possibly be anyone god would love. then we started going to a church and the messages we were hearing began to convict me and assured me that i could face whatever consequence would come because of my actions. i began to understand that those "church people" were there because they knew they weren’t perfect, either, and they could hold me up and encourage me in my time of need. i confessed to the person i sinned against, and it wasn’t because i wanted a clear conscience. it was because it was the right thing to do, and i began to see that my guilt was a tool used by satan to keep me down when i thought i couldn’t feel any lower…..whereas conviction was a gift from god that helped free me. i walked through the "refining fire", but i knew the only way to get rid of guilt and shame was to come before the lord in truth…..and i made it out more refined and, i believe, a much better person than i was. a different person.
one verse that helped me was 1 John 1:9 "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness"
i felt the grace of god, and i’ve never looked back.

If sins have been washed away by the blood of Christ, which it is..There is no more guilt ot condemnation over past sins..Glory be to Almighty God for His glorious work of the cross of Christ….

Yes I believe that guilt can come between you and the Lord if you let it. We are forgiving only if we ask and then we have to believe we are forgiving. Also another thing that people forget is that we should not do that thing again and think that you want have to suffer the consequences for your actions. Everyone deserve second chances but be sincere and learn from your mistakes.

The Holy Spirit brings conviction of sin, righteousness and judgment. Once this is dealt with, i.e. when sins are repented of and forsaken, the Blood of Jesus cleanses us from all our unrighteousness, then the peace of God abides in the innermost being of the Christian. It should.
If there are, however, constant and recurrent guilt-attacks, then it is the work of the enemy. When this happens, the Christian should know his position in Christ, and rebuke the enemy’s condemnation, in the Name of Jesus.

wow what a great question…I feel guilt all the time, and I think when we sin and we feel guilty it does play a role in our relationship with the Lord, but as Christians we must remember that no matter what we have done, God still wants us to run to Him…that is the great thing about God!

I sometimes have an "over active conscience" If I have done or said something to someone that I feel MIGHT have offended them. I ask myself if I was wrong. If so I try to make it right and beg Jesus to forgive me. It actually opens my relationship with the Lord more so for I have more communication with him.
